Preventative Care
Children’s & Family Dentistry
One Trusted Dental Home for the Whole Family
Family dentistry means having one trusted dental home for every member of your household, from a child’s very first tooth through to adulthood. We offer comfortable children’s dentistry focused on early prevention, positive experiences and long-term smile wellbeing.
A family dentist is a general dentist who cares for the whole household, while a paediatric dentist is a specialist with additional university training in children’s dental and behavioural care. Our general dentists care for patients of all ages, and we’re transparent about when a child needs referral to a registered paediatric specialist. We will never treat outside our scope.

Infants & toddlers
The first visit is mostly educational: we examine erupted teeth and gums and talk with you about feeding, dummies and cleaning techniques.
- 4–12 years
Children
Routine check-ups, cleans, fissure sealants, fluoride and oral hygiene education, with X-rays when clinically needed.
- 13–17 years
Older children & teens
Monitoring permanent teeth and wisdom teeth, orthodontic screening, custom sports mouthguards and diet guidance.
- Adults & seniors
The whole family
Preventive, restorative and elective care, including for people managing health conditions that affect oral health.
Building Positive Habits Early
Children benefit enormously from early preventive care. When healthy habits start early, adult teeth come through into a clean, healthy environment, helping avoid complex dental problems later.
We make visits fun, interactive and educational, teaching correct brushing, dietary awareness and building positive memories at the dentist that last a lifetime. We also recommend an orthodontic check around ages 9 or 10.
